Amanita Grove is a Latin, Folk and Neo-Soul duo based in Hartland, North Devon, bringing soulful vocals, Latin-infused elements, Spanish guitar, loops and lo-fi rhythms, featuring Cheryl Silvawood on vocals and spoken word, and Jules Moberly on Spanish guitar.
The duo's original music and covers hold space for nature, truth and courage. The ethos is in their name; they look to spread love and joy through their #musicmycelium, bringing people of similar frequencies together with the love of music.
Cheryl and Jules also present their music as sound journeys, combining various instruments with voice, poetry and guitar, guiding listeners through pathways of inner and outer landscapes as the seasons change.
Outside music, Cheryl works with trees and woodlands (https://www.inalandofgiants.blog), and specialises in the protection and conservation of ancient and veteran trees. Jules has been a professional musician specialising in Spanish guitar and Flamenco, performing solo as well as working collaboratively with musicians, DJs, artists and performers. Having been a woodsman and steward of the land for over 20 years, Jules also works on community and nature-led projects around Devon, together with Cheryl.
Amanita Grove also performs as a trio, quartet and as a multicultural collaboration of musicians - Amanita Grove Collective - playing Afro-Latin jazz funk and soulful beats with a twist, further expanding the #musicmycelium.
